Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Closest major airport to Sedona

Driving from Phoenix Airport to Sedona

Primary Route (Via Highway 179 – Scenic Entry to Sedona)

Exit Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport – follow signs to I-10 West

Take I-17 North toward Flagstaff – 98.4 miles

Exit at 298 and turn left onto Highway 179

Follow Highway 179 for 14.2 miles until you reach Highway 89A

Expect heavy traffic, especially between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening
